“Dante and Virgil in Hell” by William-Adolphe Bouguereau  This painting is about the Fith Circle of Hell, where those who sinned of wrath fight endlessly throughout eternity, and also those who sinned of sloth will just lay while they rot.  But I couldn’t help but think about vampires when I saw this: The classic ones that could convert in bats, and also the “modern” ones, Anne Rice’s ones to be more specific. The redhead one could be a more grown up, muscular version of Armand, and the other one could be Santino… Armand taking revenge for Marius, maybe? (it would have been great if he had done that; too good he didn’t).
